About Us

Here at TOUR IN PERU we offer you individual and group tours throughout the year 2017, actually, our wonderful tours are available on a daily basis: the Machu PIcchu, the Inca Trails and all our variety of great travel packages.

On this article we will accurately discuss the availability of our group tours all along 2017, because we want our customers to always have the proper information. Since they are located in the Southern hemisphere, Peru and the Andes in particular have different months for the seasons compared to the Northern hemisphere. Here in Cusco, dry season, with no rain at all, is between April and early October, and rain season is from late October to March.

Season-related Availability

Due to this climate circumstance, the 4-day, Classic Inca Trail closes during February each year, because this is the month with the heaviest rains, but each day of the year all our other tours are fully available including best alternatives to the Classic Inca Trail. During the rain season, that is, from October to March, there might be some delays but the tours (Machu Picchu, other Inca Trails and else) nevertheless are carried out without any other inconvenience, our group services continue so you can book anytime in 2017.

Now for all solo travelers, we have the best news! You just have to contact us and we will make all the arrangements to include you in a group, on the dates and schedule that you want, since our tours are fully available all year long.

But we also think about our visitors who enjoy the group traveling experience! Couples, family, high school students, college students, workplace staff and all kinds of groups that will enjoy some Inca Trail, Machu Picchu or our other great packages!

Unfortunately, we must say that at this point (May 2017), there’s no more availability for the 4-day, Classic Inca Trail until late October 2017, but there are many other wonderful group tours you can take; for instance, the 2-day, 1-night Inca Trail: it starts at your Cusco hotel and you’re taken up to the Ollantaytambo village by van, and then you will travel until km 104 of the Cusco-Machu Picchu railroad by train. Afterwards you will cover all the route on a hike, ending with a wonderful visit at the very Inca site. The highest point of this trail is at Winaywayna at 8.700 feet, also an Inca very impressive architectural remain. You will spend the only night at a hostel in Aguas Calientes village, nearby Machu Picchu. This tour actually connects with sections of the classic, 4-day Inca Trail. The great news is that it is now available on a daily basis, all year long, so you are invited to join our groups and take part on this great easier adventure!

Useful information for Travel Groups

  • Group tours to Machu Picchu begin in Cusco city.
  • Visitors are picked up at their hotels and after the tour they’re taken back
  • Another convenience all our tours offer is a pick up airport-hotel at your arrival and transport hotel-airport for your departure
  • We also have wonderful 1-day and 2-day tours to Machu Picchu by train which ride along many attractions like the Inca site at Ollantaytambo

Alternatives to the Inca Trail

There are also several best alternatives to the 4-day, Classic Inca Trail.

Among others, they’re an amazing variety of packages which are very alike to the Classic Inca Trail, going through Andean heights, the Western Amazon subtropical jungle, reaching challenging altitudes, including camping and visiting astounding landscapes.

What to bring for the Inca Trail Tours

Now travelers booking for Machu Picchu and/or Inca Trails group tours this 2017 can wear regular sneakers all along dry season, that is, April to September; on rainy season, strong walking boots are advised. Also good windproof and waterproof jackets are recommended, according to weather. Don´t forget your sunblock and mosquito repellent; a good walking stick will also be very helpful. First-aid kits, maps, most meals, professional guides and most accommodations will be provided by tour operators; domestic flights are also usually included in most packages (upon request).
