How to prepare for the travel to Peru with your Family

Planning family trip to Peru may seem a difficult task at first. You have to think about weather, activities and places to stay, and not only for yourself but for whole family. Here we will give you basic information and basic tips which will help you and your family to get ready for the travel to Peru.

Weather in Peru

Peru has two seasons during the year, Summer in Peru is from December to February and winter from July to September. There is no bad time to visit Peru, however as a very general recommendation the best time to visit Peru is during summer period between December-February. The best time to visit the mountains is in the winter: July-September. Jungle in Peru is hot and steamy all year round with heavy rains in December and January.

Prepare your family for the Inca Trail

If you and your family planning to do The Classic Inca Trail 4D/3N or either Short Inca Trail 2D/1N, it is very important to prepare for those treks to enjoy them 100%.

Preparation for the Classic Inca Trail may take longer, as you going to hike for few days passing different landscapes and experiencing different temperatures during the days and nights.
