Inca Trail Availability For JULY 2024

The Inka Trail is the most famous hike in a World, and a must-do, life-changing experience. Hiking the Inka Trail through The Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu is both tiring and breathtaking. Few days of cold, exhaustion and pain disperse as the mist lifts to reveal the bright green peaks and terraced ruins of the mystical ancient “Lost City”. We believe it can be a challenge to prepare yourself properly and get all necessary information for the Inca Trail. Along with the number of available spaces left for the Inca Trail in January 2024, we will try to provide the information which will help you get ready for the trek in July 2024.

The Inca Trail permits are officialy released for 2024 season since October 2023. However, as the permits for the first months of the season are quickly sold, you can pre book them in our contact form. You can also check avaiability for other months in the following table:

Get ready for July weather in 2024

The weather along the Inca Trail splits into two main yearly seasons. The dry – winter season starts from April through to October, and wet – summer season from November through to March.

July is one of the dry season months, it’s a possibility for the short rain, but not likely in July.

Daily temperature varies from 19°C- 22°C dropping below 16°C only one day in ten.

Throughout July the average hours of sun is around 11.30 h. per day and most common forms of precipitation are light rain and drizzle.

Live local culture with celebrations in July 2024

“CORPUS OF SANTIAGO”, is a religious festivity where they have a mass, numerous and beautiful dances. The typical dish of the festivity is the “Chiriuchu”. It is celebrated in the square of the same name.

“CORPUS OF SANTA ANA”, also a religious celebration performed in the chapel of Santa Ana.

“Nuestra Señora del Carmen” July 16th – the religious festivity is celebrated in the town of Paucartambo and in Pisaq. It is a religious celebration deeply settled in its inhabitants where they squander extravagance and happiness.

“The Festivity of the Coffee” July 25th – July 29th

Province of “La Convención”, district of Santa Ana.

“Offers” or “despachos” July 31st – in every community in honor to the “mother land”.

“Tinka” of the cattle July 31st – ceremonies of baptism to the cattle in every community.
