Inca Trail Availability For SEPTEMBER 2024

The Inka Trail is one of the most famous and busiest trek in the Word, 26 miles (43 km) combines stunning mountain scenery, subtropical jungle, cloud forest, and of course the variety of Inca paving stones, ruins and tunnels. The final destination of the trail is Macchu Picchu ‘’Lost City of Inkas’’. We believe it can be a challenge to prepare yourself properly and get all necessary information for the Inka Trail. We will try to provide the information which will help you get ready for the trek in September 2024.

AVAILABILITY for Inka Trail in September 2024

The availability in September of 2024 and on every each month may vary, but we would strongly recommend that you make your booking in advance to avoid disappointment. You can check AVAILABILITY  and proceed your booking straight away. If there is no availability on the day you are requesting your hike, have a look for other trips and treks we are offering.

The Inca Trail permits are officialy released for 2024 season since October 2023. However, as the permits for the first months of the season are quickly sold, you can pre book them in our contact form. You can also check avaiability for other months in the following table:

Get ready for the weather in September 2024

 

The weather along the Inka Trail splits into two main yearly seasons.  The dry – winter season starts from April through to September, and wet – summer season from October  through to March.

September –  the month which rewards us still with many sunny days. Daily temperature during the month highs around 20°C exceeding 23°C or dropping below 18°C.

Even days are sunny and hot daily low temperature can fall below 2°C.

Throughout September the most common forms of weather are moderate rain,light rain, thunderstorms, and drizzle.

Live local culture with celebrations in September 2024

“The Festivity of the Lord of Huanca” 14th September – has a procession to the city of Cusco as well as fair of cattle in the town of San Salvador.

“The Festivity of San Jeronimo” 30th September – ceremony attends in the district of San Jeronimo offers  a tourist week with different sports and cultural activities.

“Corpus of Almudena” – is a religious festivity celebrated in the chapel or church of Almudena where they performed a procession and a performance of typical dances from Cusco and the area of the high plateau.

“Corpus of San Jeronimo” – one more religious festivity celebrated in September in the district of San Jeonimo. Locals have religious acts,masses of festivities, processions, presentations of traditional dances.

Whole September hosts many events of tourism with especial cultural, ecotourism and sportive activities. You can choose depending on your likes or energy left after Inka Trail!
