About Us

The Inca Jungle is a great option instead of the regular Inca Trails! It has daily availability throughout the year and includes BMX biking on most of day 1! On this article we will tell you about the best time for doing this adventure of a lifetime tour!.

Climate Conditions in the Cusco Region

From April to October we have dry season, also called high season. There isn’t any rain at all, the temperatures are colder but it is always warmer as the altitude decreases and we approach Machu Picchu.
From November to March it is rain season, also called low season. Pourings occur, but on the other hand they are brief and not every day. Temperatures are higher all over the region.

Inca Jungle

Best Time for Doing the Inca Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu

So, this will depend on your own criteria. Most people will do the Inca Jungle on high season, for the paths are dry, no waiting for the rain to pass.

However, for schedule reasons or even an adventurous attitude, other people would not mind to endure hotter weather, rain and sometimes muddy terrain by doing this trek on low, rainy season. Undoubtedly it would be more demanding and you’ll have to proceed on “rain mode”, that is, setting everything in order to cope with the weather, like putting most items inside impermeable bags, coats and so on, but at the end of the day, you’ll find many travelers still have the best of times. We repeat, it is more demanding on low, rain season, but still many visitors do have a great experience.

Includes 3 nights on campsites, hiking across steep, rocky terrain and serious cold weather and blowing winds, before turning downwards to the jungle borders.
