About Us

This amazing package covers a town with pre-Inca, Inca, Spanish and independent history, architecture, art, culture. On this article we address the Lima City Tour FAQ, so you can have the finest experience in a place with so many wonders to offer!

1. How long is this tour?

It has a duration of around 3:30 to 4 hours. There are two starting times: 9:15 am and 2:15 pm. We suggest you bring some snacks and bottled water (only in refillable holders) to the journey.

2. What clothing should I wear?

It will depend on the season. Weather is not the same as in the Cusco region.

  • Warm climate goes from mid-September to mid-April, peaking between December-March (expect 30°C many days). So for warm-hot weather wear light clothes all over. Do not forget a sun hat, dark glasses and suncream. Do not.
  • Cold climate happens between mid-April until mid-September, the coldest months being from June-August. Get warm clothes. Also a cap and shades will be useful against strong winds.
Since the town is on a desert, you don’t need to care about rain at all.

3. What places will we visit?

The Lima City Tour includes wonderful attractions around town! The pre-Inca Pucllana Pyramid site, colonial downtown Lima with its historical squares and palaces, the Banco Central (Peruvian Federal Reserve) renowned museum with amazing archaeological exhibitions, the contemporary, shoreline side of town with a great view of the Pacific Ocean, nice and hospitalary people who enjoy sharing our history, culture and togetherness, are among the exciting activities covered by this package. Find more details about the Lima City Tour.

4. Can any other activities be added?

A FAQ very important and useful for travelers. The answer is yes! These are some of them:

  • Paragliding over the Pacific ocean in front of the town’s shoreline
  • We strongly suggest you make some time for experiencing Lima’s top, awarded gastronomy, which is one of the main Lima City Tour FAQ. Some of the world’s best restaurants are now there. Try the seafood, typical drinks and the quite lively, upbeat atmosphere Lima’s people create in such gatherings.
  • You can also add a ride on the famous Mirabus. It goes sightseeing across several great spots in town, with an open, panoramic second floor
  • There is a great museum of Peruvian pre-Hispanic archaeology in the Pueblo Libre district. Really worthy of spending a good while marveling with our rich pre-Hispanic history

5. Could I make this City Tour an extension of my Cusco trip?

Of course! Most people indeed take this package before or after going to a Classic 4-Day Inca Trail or a regular Machu Picchu program, because everyone has to land or depart using Lima’s international airport, there are almost no flights abroad directly involving Cusco.

6. Do you have any other packages in Lima to link up?

  • Palomino Islands tour, half-day: a quite popular package, it is about sailing around some amazing islands in front of Lima, particularly the Cavinzas and the Palomino, which are habitats for plenty of typical seabirds, penguins and also adorable sea lions. If the weather is hot you can even swim with them, they are very friendly and playful!
