About Us

The First Inca Trail Marathon was organized in 1996. Thousands of runners and trekkers from around the world have successfully completed the Inka Trail marathon and 100% of the marathon participants have completed the Classic 30km course in one day.

There is no “official” Inca Trail Marathon because Inca Trail is in a National Park, and because of that marathon is place on different location around the National park where is no limit number of participants.
The Inca Trail marathon begins in Cusco, the archaeological capital of the Americas, at an altitude of 11,150 feet.

Cusco is rich in architecture which will remind you a mystical city. You will be able to see massive walls, cobblestone streets and remnants of the Inca empire. After a tour in Cusco, you will be ready to start a marathon, which will bring you a variety of trails in the Southern Peruvian Andes.

The marathon starts on the ancient Inca Trail that leads to the legendary lost city of Machu Picchu. Along the way, you explore the fascinating ruins of Incas, and camp at a breath-taking place called “town in the clouds”- Phuyupatamarca. After you reach Machu Picchu and explore most spectacular ruins for two days you with other runners will take train ride back to Cusco.

Live by yourself this marathon by taking a the Classic tour to the Inka Trail of four days or the short one of two days. You will enjoy it!
