About Us

Cusco and the many Incan sites that surround it are charged with an energy that is as palpable as a heartbeat. It’s little wonder that the Incas revered the whole area as sacred. They believed that Inti the Sun God and Pachamama, the mother earth were active in the sacred valley

Both those beliefs and the practices surrounding them reflected a huge amount of energy. You won’t have to search the area long before you find spots where you can feel the energy of the natural elements and you’ll be able to recharge and relax.

Machu Picchu

To just look at photographs of Machu Picchu, you can tell that it’s a feast for the eyes. But once you physically visit the place, you can tell that it’s a feast for the soul. The energy washes over you and brings with it an overwhelming sense of amazement.

It was meant to be a middle point between all of the Incan deities including the mountains, sun, moon, and water. It’s a crossroads of the energy from all those sources and the feeling of standing in the middle of all those spiritual channels defies description.

Humantay Lake

The lake is a stunning turquoise lagoon that sits in front of snowy white mountains. On a clear bright day, the contrast between the two colors is exhilarating and it’s just as much of a must-see site as Machu Picchu. Once you reach the lake you can soak in the energy from the surrounding sacred mountains and the water. The peacefulness of the area is unlike anything you’ll feel elsewhere. Breathing the fresh air and knowing that you are in the middle of the most sacred of the sacred will fill you with energy.

Other Sites

The sacred valley has more to it than Cusco and Machu Picchu. There’s an entire host of archaeological sites around the city, and once you visit them in person and you look at them with the eyes of the heart and feel them with the hands of your spirit, you will understand why it’s called the sacred valley.

The Inca certainly understood. They could live there happily and peacefully as they were surrounded by the mountains to grow all the crops they would need, as well as get fresh water from the river flowing through the middle, an abundance of hydration.

If you visit, and you’re one of the receptive types, you should definitely visit Moray, Pisac, Tipon, Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Tambomachay, and Puka Pucara. Each site has its own unique energy signature, and the output at each location is immense.

Spas

Taking in positive energy is good, but it doesn’t eliminate the need for getting rid of negative energy that you might have pent up inside of you. There are spas set up in the sacred valley to assist with that inner work of dispelling the negative so that you can leave feeling positive and rejuvenated.

Before you make your visit to each of these energy spots, it would be a good idea to become proficient in some form of mindfulness or a meditation practice. Being able to bring stillness and quiet to the mind will allow you to fully utilize the energy you expose yourself to as you travel to Machu Picchu and the sacred valley.

Casa Cartagena Spa

There are also no substitutes for good food and quality sleep, both of which you should see when you make arrangements for your trip with TOUR IN PERU. Book your adventure and enjoy your journey!
