“Let’s keep our World clean for future generations”
The V Clean-up Campaign in the sector of Tica Tica, the place located at the northern exit of Cusco city, was carried out on Saturday, October 26 this year, This campaign was led by the Association of Tourism Agencies of Cusco (AATC) and the Organization of Destination Management of Cusco (OGD) and had the support of the Provincial Municipality of Cusco.
This time, we had the active participation not only of the staff of different tourism companies associated with AATC and, of course, the staff of our company, TOUR IN PERU; but also of the parents of the I.E. El Niño Divino 1199 de TiKa TiKa. We all made a common cause in this V Clean-up Campaign in the Tika Tika Sector.
Most participants were really surprised when finding large amounts of waste in the area; nevertheless, it was pleasant at the end because of the great results; we picked up about 2200 kg of garbage of all kinds.
The figures are quite alarming, this is why, travel companies committed to responsible tourism in Cusco continue to work on this task of helping to raise awareness and support the inhabitants of this sector through the cleaning campaigns, training to the educational institutions, the establishment of strategic alliances with different institutions and the same population of the sector in question.
The TOUR IN PERU team, always engaged in these types of campaigns, once again put on the shirt in favor of ecology and responsible tourism; therefore, from here we congratulate our collaborators, the collaborators of the different companies, the residents of Tika Tika, and institutions that were part of this great gesture towards our “Pachamama”.
