About Us

The Inca Jungle Trail (4 days) takes alternative, newly discovered and exciting sections to the regular Inca Trail! It includes biking on day 1 and wonderful hiking for the next 3 days! Check here all the details of this amazing package!

Biking on the Inca Jungle Trail

This tour begins with a quite relaxing bus ride from Cusco City until the Malaga pass, watching the marveling beauty of the natural Andean landscapes and once there the biking starts, along wild, amazing, energizing countryside, typical villages and finally the Huamanmarca Inca ruins. There you can decide if you continue biking or take our support car instead, until the Santa Maria village. The total biking time from the start until Santa Maria will be around 5 hours!

INCA JUNGLE TRAIL

The Hiking on the Inca Jungle Trail

It is quite varied, exciting and enjoyable! On the remaining 3 days, you will have almost an astounding 20 hours of hiking across the mighty Andean chain and the Western border of the Peruvian jungle!
Nature: you will hike along the sounding river, uphill until mountain summits to enjoy magnificent, wide views of the valley and the canyon. Waterfalls, agricultural fields, typical flora and fauna. Of course you can not forget a photographic camera to record this unique Inca Jungle Trail!

Sites of interest: the Llactapata Inca ruins, the Machu Picchu mighty Hydroelectric power plant, the hike up to the Machu Picchu site (for an almost 3-hour, professionally guided tour of the sanctuary citadel, after which you will have free time to continue exploring it on your own itinerary!), also there is an optional hiking to the top of the Huayna Picchu mountain at the citadel (seeing several Inca constructions and religious places while going up and finally the natural energy and view from the top are priceless, quickly becoming famous among hikers worldwide. Please book this in advance).
Also there is the Aguas Calientes village (sometimes called Machu Picchu station) which is next to the citadel: you can find typical and international food and drinks, Inca-medicine typical massages, an Andean products and souvenirs market and we definitely recommend the famous thermal baths, so you will lay down there for a well-deserved, energizing rest after the -happy- effort of hiking the Inca Jungle Trail.
