About Us

The Sacred Valley Tour is a one of a kind for it covers its best attractions, combining professionally-guided site-visiting, souvenir-shopping, typical gastronomy, history, folklore and more. Here are our insider tips, we want everyone to have a 5-star trip!

Preparation for the Sacred Valley Tour – Insider Tips

  • As usual, altitude symptoms may be an issue. The first recommended measure is to acclimatize, meaning arriving 2 or 3 days in advance to Cusco City (elevation: 3.400 meters above sea level) so you will get gradually accustomed to lack of oxygen. There are many valuable ways you can spend your time in town while getting used to the “thin air”.
  • Additional measures are: obligatorily drinking much more bottled water (no gas) than usual, for it is a great source of oxygen and the classic Andean secret for fighting elevation strains: coca leaves tea. The last resort -which few people need actually- are altitude pills, they are available at any drugstore and will get everybody going ok. Fortunately, elevation decreases for this journey, to an average of 2.800 meters above sea level
  • Get a good night’s rest before, remember this is a full day excursion. We surely don’t recommend partying hard, alcohol, smoking, coffee while in Cusco City because they will weaken your body, worsening your resistance to elevation reactions

Doing the Sacred Valley Tour – Insider Tips

  • From April to October: climate in Cusco City is cold, windy, no rain, but in all the Sacred Valley is much warmer. So bring winter clothes to Cusco City but light ones for the journey. Tennis shoes. Another of the really valuable insider tips is packing a sun hat, shades and sunblock, all mandatory, and insect repellent just in case.
  • From November to March: weather turns hotter everywhere, more in the Sacred Valley. There will be pourings, brief and spaced, more sunshine too. Thus, you must pack all light clothes and a rainproof jacket or similar just in case. Tennis shoes. Sun hat, dark glasses and suncream are still a must, and also get your bug repellent.
  • Carry a suitable, light backpack, with some snacks like fruits, chocolates, cereal bars, sandwiches, etc. Bottled water (no gas) and perhaps coca leaves tea. (Keep in mind this full day package includes 1 meal: a buffet typical lunch in the unforgettable Urubamba city). Antibacterial hand gel for hygiene and several small plastic bags for placing all disposals (part of an integral policy of sustainable environment and heritage conservation)
  • Have a reasonable amount of cash in Peruvian money if you are interested in buying typical products, because this package includes visiting several village markets where you will find everything: Andean clothing, bags, pottery, souvenirs, you name it (and all originals).
