- From April to October: climate in Cusco City is cold, windy, no rain, but in all the Sacred Valley is much warmer. So bring winter clothes to Cusco City but light ones for the journey. Tennis shoes. Another of the really valuable insider tips is packing a sun hat, shades and sunblock, all mandatory, and insect repellent just in case.
- From November to March: weather turns hotter everywhere, more in the Sacred Valley. There will be pourings, brief and spaced, more sunshine too. Thus, you must pack all light clothes and a rainproof jacket or similar just in case. Tennis shoes. Sun hat, dark glasses and suncream are still a must, and also get your bug repellent.
