About Us

In compliance with Peruvian regulations enacted in July 2017, the ticket sales for the Inca Trails 2018 begin in October; since these tours are among the most wanted in the world, we certainly advise all our travelers to start booking procedures at the soonest. Permits for the Inca Trails are limited, will sell out very quickly and in advance. Next we will guide you for a successful reservation process.

Ticket Sales for the Inca Trails 2018 Begins in October – Policy and Regulations

Machu Picchu in dry season and October

Machu Picchu during dry season

According to Peruvian laws, the season for the Inca Trails goes from March to January of the next year; every February, the ancient Inca roads are closed for maintenance, prevention and conservation reasons. Also, rainy season in Cusco is roughly from October to early March, while dry season thus is from April to late September, with little or no raining.

Since July 2017, it has been decided by Peruvian authorities that ticket sales will begin every October, only by certified travel agencies; however, given that the Inca Trails have a very high demand from people all over the world, and therefore permits get sold out with weeks, months and even a year in advance, we strongly advise you to plan your Inca Trail and start booking contact with us at the very earliest opportunity, so you won’t be disappointed for unavailability of permits on your chosen vacation dates.

Now, the fact that the Inca Trails are closed every February, does not mean you can’t make any booking procedures on this month, just remember the trails are open from March to January, and again, official sales begin every October. You just have to organize your vacation planning.

Inca Trail in October: Short Inca Trail

To put it all in a detailed way, every October, permits are supposed to be available for October, November and December, then January, skip February for the Inca Trails are closed and then on from March to September. But again, in every case always try to book with the most time in advance you can.

TOUR IN PERU offers the best Inca Trail packages, which are the Short 2-Day Inca Trail and the Classic 4-Day Inca Trail. For the former, Peruvian authorities issue 250 permits per day, which usually remain available, although sometimes they sell out weeks in advance; now for the latter, 500 daily tickets are issued, but only 200 are for hikers, because the other 300 are mandatory for all kinds of helpers like porters and kitchen staff. Remember that, as we wrote above, tickets for this Classic Trail can get sold out sometimes even with a year in advance. The number of daily permits is steady by law, it remains constant. Nevertheless, TOUR IN PERU has a very high rate of successful reservations, you just have to contact us in fair advance with your Inca Trail plans.
