Every February, TOUR IN PERU takes part on the cleaning and conservation works of the Inca Trail, led by Peruvian agency in charge (SERNANP). Such works aim at conducting effective maintenance and prevention actions, according to our top-quality policies for travelers.
TOUR IN PERU Contribution on the Cleaning
We have a permanent policy and commitment of giving our travelers a top-quality service in every way. Accordingly, TOUR IN PERU enthusiastically collaborated on the annual conservation works of the ancient Andean roads.
These task, directed by SERNANP, had as one of its results the picking up of residues along the Inca paths and usual campsites, thus making a great contribution to the tidiness, order and ecological preservation of the tracks and camping spots. We certainly hope this lack of concern of some hikers about leaving waste in natural areas will constantly decrease and come to an end the soonest possible.
Our company surely endorses the global concern about preservation of all natural resources and in particular, the rich cultural heritage which can be found here in Peru. The goal is to keep supporting protection of the environment and at the same time provide our travelers with a clean, safe, enjoyable in every way hiking experience on these amazing journey.

Keeping the Inca Trail Clean
We also take other measures in order to have those highlands paths and spots the right way throughout the year:
- Our guides, porters and kitchen staff are all highly trained in environmental and cultural preservation.
- In all our contacts and briefings, office personnel is also required to deal with and cover subjects related to the ecology and site-conservation along the trail.
