About Us

Our travel agency has reached the very high, demanding levels required by both the CALTUR and TourCert Certifications. Regarding the former, we have been approved and about TourCert, we’re on the brink of being given this quite prestigious label!

The CALTUR Certification

It is conferred by the Foreign Trade and Tourism Department, uniquely to travel agencies which comply with quite high organizational standards, which have achieved high operational levels in all of its areas. TOUR IN PERU operates following a very professional Integrated Management System

After around 8 months of intense, team work with the CALTUR experts, we were able to meet all the required criteria to pass Level 2 certification (the next and highest is Level 3). This means all our divisions, like sales, marketing, logistics, operations, online resources and the rest are working in accordance to Peruvian government’s most demanding standards of quality in tourism services.

According to regulations, there is a period of time after the approval for the official paperwork and then we will have the award ceremony, which we’ll share with our clients soon. And, of course, TOUR IN PERU is going to apply for the Level 3 certification, because constant improvement is our main policy. See our Mission, Vision and Values

TourCert Certification (Germany)

Since 2009, this label of top quality in tourism has been working on taking companies around the world to the highest levels of sustainability. This new paradigm in touristic operations encompasses protection of the environment, generation of benefits for local populations and giving all personnel good working conditions. Specifically, TourCert asks for the following actions:

  1. Environmental protection: the lowest use of water, electricity, fuel and of course, the lowest emission of CO2. Proper, ecologically safe ways to dispose of waste. Recycling. Ban of disposable plastics and replacing them only with reusable items. Protection of water sources by using only eco-friendly products like shampoo, soap, detergent, etc. Sharing these measures with all staff and clients.
  2. Social responsibility: generating benefits for local people, coaching them on creating small businesses for tourism, promoting between our clients the great products they can buy from them, hiring workers from destinations we reach, organizing social activities our clients may want to do (like the trip to Accha village), making donations to villages in need.
  3. Good personnel practices: giving all staff functional, proper offices and working conditions, adequate wages and benefits, constant training and career opportunities, proper, documented contracts, among other measures. Check our blog entry on the training we conducted for guides and office staff.

CALTUR and TourCert Certifications: Why Are They Important?

Definitely, both of them are a concrete acknowledgement of our high quality standards in tourism services. Specifically, we become certified nationally and abroad as a travel agency which complies with environmental protection, corporate social responsibility and workers’ well-being.

The CALTUR and TourCert Certifications are meant to be permanent standards of quality in tourism, because the goal is to carry out sustainable touristic activities, which is making our operations lasting for the future, and likewise, keeping all natural resources safe for years to come. For a complete knowledge of our sustainability actions, check the very illustrating Guidelines of Good Practices.

Our company has reached all these very high levels of quality in touristic operations, now recognized by the very prestigious CALTUR and TourCert Certifications. When you travel with TOUR IN PERU, you travel with a leading agency in our country!
